Drabbles: Lupin/Snape, G/PG, unbetaed

Sharing my drabbles from a recent Snupin drabble chat . . . WARNING: They are completely unbetaed and in raw form. Honestly, the fact that it's approaching 18 months since I posted anything here, I'm just happy to post something. I'd gladly post another unfinished crossover piece co-written with auberus (anyone want to see Michael from Burn Notice as a wolf found by either Remus or Severus?), but she's holding them hostage as 'not polished.'

3 Drabble-ish pieces:
Rating: G/PG - nothing too obvious, but you can read between the lines for what you want
Characters: Lupin, Snape
Word count: 100-250 words each
Warnings: Unbetaed

So . . . thoughts? comments? criticims? :)

Fic: (untitled X-Files/Harry Potter), rated G

Once again . . . here's the end of the month. Once again . . . I blame auberus for this. It is untitled, unfinished, not beta'ed and the results of her muse attacking and mine joining in the fun. (Would anyone believe this was written in roughly 15 minutes, completely off the top of my head, with little prompting from auberus? Yeah - didn't think so.)

Title: (untitled)
Rated: G
Characters: Voldemort (of Harry Potter)
Crossover: X-Files (Alex Krycek)
Setting: The graveyard where Voldemort gains his new body in GoF, immediately after Harry Potter has taken the cup/portkey to get away.

Uh . . . yeah . . . just a small part . . . but anyone like?

Fic: (untitled Highlander/Harry Potter), rated G

As part of a goal for this year, I wanted to post something of my writing every month, just because I want to. I do have a ton of written work that I've done over the years as well as a number of plotbunnies currently occupying corners of my mind, so there's no shortage of material . . . it's just getting the material into here (this journal). My "rule" for this are that it must be a minimum of 100 words, but it does NOT need to be a finished piece of work. I just want something posted so it's out there - this journal is meant (in my mind) to be the archive of my writing work.

So, this month's selection is here with the help of auberus, without whom this piece clearly would not exist. (It was her muse who wanted to play and I was pulled along as well, not that I don't mind - she's a fabulous writer all by herself.) It is unbeta'ed, untitled, and unfinished - and if the track record thus far is any indication, it will probably remain unfinished for quite some time while other muses of hers create more WIP's that I'm involved in.

Background: this is the result of auberus' muse who wanted Cory Raines (of Highlander fandom) to rob Gringotts Bank (of the Harry Potter universe) which meant the Aurors investigate the crime. She wrote for Cory Raines (which is not included here) while I wrote for the Harry Potter side of things, specifically Sirius Black and James Potter. This is AU - ish - Sirius and James are alive, but we really didn't set a specific timeframe, other than post-Hogwarts and they're Aurors.

Anyone have any comments to share?

Fic: A Common Strength, rated R

This was originally written for the 2009 Snarry Holidays and is my first piece of writing focusing on the pairing of Severus Snape and Harry Potter. It is also posted in the Snarry Holidays community - I'm just adding it to my archive of writing here.

Title: A Common Strength
Word Count: Approximately 5,900
Rating: R
Pairing: Severus Snape/Harry Potter
Warnings: Sexual Situations, hints of dominance/submission
Disclaimer: All Harry Potter characters herein are the property of J.K. Rowling and Bloomsbury/Scholastic. No copyright infringement is intended.
Summary: Severus has survived the war and resumed his life in the dungeons of Hogwarts. Harry, after time away from everyone, returns to the castle to deal with Dumbledore’s estate. When their paths cross again, they find their interests are more in common than they thought.
Author's Notes: Many thanks for the encouragement and help given along the way in creating this work, especially to auberus and maraudersaffair. Thank you, ladies!

Fic: Pack and Family, Father and Son

ARGH! Another year has passed . . . and I'm back to post something I wrote for Snupin Santa 2008. I've thought about writing quite a bit . . . even started reposting "To Teach Is . . . " on another site, but haven't been productive in that area, despite the raging plotbunnies and multitude of temptations. *makes note to change that for next year*

And once again, this fic is archived at the Snupin Santa website . . . but here's the info:

Title: Pack and Family, Father and Son

Word Count: Approximately 10,200

Rating: PG

Characters/Pairing: Remus Lupin, Severus Snape, Teddy Lupin – No Pairings

Warnings: Angst, if anything; violence/aggression (not graphic), allusions to wolf behaviour.

Disclaimer: Anything recognizable as part of the universe created by JK Rowling belongs to her. I am merely stretching my imagination.

Summary: After the war, life continues on for those who have survived, including for Severus, Teddy and Remus.

Notes: Special thanks to those who helped me along the way.

Link to the story is here.

Fic: Letters Never Sent, Words Never Spoken

This fic is archived with the Snupin Santa website, as it is from the 2007 Snupin Santa exchange. I am finally posting it here while patiently waiting for this year's gift to arrive.

Pairing(s)/Character(s): Severus/Lily, Severus/Remus, Harry
Challenge: Snupin Santa 2007, gift fic for envinyatar15
Word Count: Approximately 3100.
Warnings: None, unless you need to be warned of falling objects, possible fluffy thoughts and possible angst. My beta warned me that tissues might also be a possible need.
Summary: The war has ended. Those who have died are buried and life is moving on. Given the task to deal with the estate of Severus Snape, Harry learns more about the people who affected the life of the Potions Master.

And off to the fic you go!

Drabble: Sunflower

*pointedly ignores the date* (I've been away from here for how long?! Ugh!)

The following is the result of being bored at work while the computers are down. Massive credit to [info]auberusfor the beta and rewriting!

Title: Sunflower
Rating: G
Word Count: 103 (drabble-size)
Warnings: does an unhappy Potions Master need a warning?
Summary: Severus finds a sunflower.

Drabbles

In going through stuff, I came across a few drabbles . . . all were prompted and created as a result of my participation in the Snupin community chatroom at some point of time - I honestly can't remember when. Enjoy!

Fic: Of Death (R)

Here's another fic that I did a few months back . . . just bringing it over here so I think I'm getting myself organized.

Title:
Of Death
Rating: PG-13/R – I’d rather rate higher and be safe
Pairing(s)/character(s): Lupin/Snape
Challenge: Lupin-Snape LJ community, Darkfic Fest ’07, #3. Death? Why this fuss about death. Use your imagination, try to visualize a world without death! ... Death is the essential condition of life, not an evil. – Charlotte Perkins Gilman
Summary: There is one dark night each month for Remus, bringing the darkest of thoughts with it. Set post-HBP.
Disclaimer: I’m just playing in the universe JKR has created. She has it all.
Warnings: character deaths mentioned (not Snape or Lupin), alcohol-drinking and thoughts of suicide
Notes: Many, many thanks are needed: to snegurochka_lee
for the great quote to work with; to [info]maraudersaffair for her constant reassurance when I wanted to give up and beta work; and to all the chat people who kept me from pounding my head into the closest brick wall (the fireplace next to the computer) when the characters didn’t want to cooperate!

AN: So . . . . how about a word or two in a comment?

Fic: Keep Moving (PG-13)

Wow! Over a month since I was last here! *grins sheepishly* Sorry about that. Anyway, here's another fic that was written earlier. I'm just reposting it here for my own sense of organization.

Title: Keep Moving
Rating: PG/PG-13 . . . strong language in use
Length: Approximately 4,000 words. One-shot.
Beta: MaraudersAffair – thanks SO MUCH, hon! (can I go back to my cave now?)
Summary: When the world you know shatters, all you can do is pick up the pieces and keep moving.
Disclaimer: The characters and anything else recognizable as the work of JKR belongs to her, not me. They’re just visiting my little world for a while.
Warnings: 1. If you’re looking for calm, quiet Remus with snarky, sarcastic Severus, then they will be totally OOC for you in this piece. 2. Language – strong language that matches the strong emotions. 3. No smut, romance or fluff – not even a kiss – in sight. Lots of negative, painful, difficult emotions.
Notes: This piece was written as a personal response to recent events. As such, it does have an American feel to it – I have no clue about the British educational system and if something like this would even happen to someone. In the United States, however, it does. Originally written and posted on the Lupin-Snape LJ community in May 2007.

Special thanks to theemmer for being a “Severus” in my world for way too many times to count over the years. Also, thanks to all those in my world who have been in Severus’ spot. This “Remus” wouldn’t be here without any of you.

So . . . if you've read it, how about a comment? Please?

Fic: To Teach Is . . .

Title: To Teach Is . . .
Author: MaraudersWolf
Type: Fiction
Length: Approximately 6,700 words. Currently a one-shot, but has the potential to be a chaptered fic . . . if the author can be convinced to leave the safety of her dark cave and gather up the rampaging plot bunnies more often.
Pairings: none
Warnings: Ummm . . . anyone who’s had a teaching position might sympathise with the Potions Master. Otherwise, it’s really quite tame.
Rating: PG – some may consider it G, but I tend to rate higher than needed.
Summary: Severus begins his career as the Potions Master of Hogwarts. What will this new endeavor bring forth? Excitement? Danger? A love for students? Or just a new source of sarcasm?
Notes: Written for the “Snape After DH fest” with the prompt of Snape’s first days of teaching. Thanks to MaraudersAffair for the beta assistance. Thanks for the constant confidence boosts should also go to her, Auberus and many others! Without them, I wouldn't be posting!

Occassionally, I spot the saying "If you're reading this, thank a teacher." Well, if you're reading this, tell the author! Feedback is wonderful!

Fic: Finding Love

*Breathes in* Okay, here goes. As I stated earlier, this journal will be my main/personal archive of the fanfic works I write. Right now, that's just HP works, but give it some time - a few others may show up.

So . . . we'll start with the very first fic I ever wrote AND posted for others to see. Trust me: I've written plenty - I have the boxes of handwriting stuff to prove it - just not allowed it to be seen by others until now.

Title: Finding Love
Author: MaraudersWolf
Archived: On the lupin_snape community in LiveJournal and on Moonshadow. Contact me if you would like to see it posted elsewhere.
Rating: R
Challenge: Fantasy Fest 2007; Story Prompt 8: Snape has an embarrassing secret and is willing to do anything to make sure Remus doesn't tell. R takes full advantage (smut preferred!) - but happy ending would be great.
Pairings/Characters: Lupin/Snape (pairing); brief visits by Fawkes, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Sprout, Flitwick and Pomfrey.
Summary: Severus knows where his comfort is, but he hasn’t found love, until it comes to him.
Disclaimer: The characters, setting and anything else recognizable as the work of JKR belongs to her, not me. I’m just using an overactive imagination with the guys.
Warnings: Um . . . definitely not fluffy. Most definitely angst. Extreme angst. Drinking alcohol is also involved.
Notes: Thanks to maraudersaffair for the encouragement and beta assistance – see what you’ve started! This is/was my first-ever fanfic piece to be seen by others – pardon me while I run back to my cave! *goes off to hide from people reading*

AN: Feedback is always appreciated!

What Am I Doing?

Ugh! What am I doing to myself?

Well, I did reach a decision. This journal will be for all of my fanfic work - at the moment, that's just the HP universe, but there are a few out there who are trying to expand my realms of fanfic . . . so keep your eyes open. Something not HP might sneak in.

So, to open this journal, I'll be posting the 3 fics that are already posted elsewhere (LJ, MNFF, AFF each have at least 2)in here.

For those of you who joined in the migration, the fics are the same - no editing or revising since they were originally posted wherever you saw them.

HOWEVER, feedback is very much appreciated from those of you who DID NOT leave feedback elsewhere. (If you're not sure, just leave a quick comment - doesn't hurt.)

So, that's the plan. I'll start with re-posting in here the three fics that are already done and out there. New fics are coming and they'll be posted here.

Enjoy! Remember: feedback is good!

What am I doing?

Ugh!

I'm under deadlines . . . I haven't written much . . . and my mind is scattered amongst everything that needs to be done.

I hate my life when it gets like this!

Just hang with me, folks - eventually, there will be fics posted here!

UGH!

All right . . . I had an intention to post something of my writing . . . but that went out the window . . . new computer and I are still getting to know each other . . . apparently the "trial" version of MSWord only allows me to view my MSWord docs . . . argh. I'll install the update later.

What?

Ugh! I sat down with every intention of writing something . . . and my mind has just shut down. I hate it when that happens. This is not a good time for a shutdown! I have at least 3 challenges/fics to write, plus a classroom newsletter to fill in, curriculum plans/materials for tomorrow to create and I haven't even started on any of the general household stuff - which reminds me, I think I have a load of clean laundry still hanging out in the trunk of my car . . . probably should bring that in.

So . . . yeah . . . um . . . anyone got a good way to kick-start a mind?

Current Mood: moody moody
The chaos of my mind

There's so many thoughts running through my head - I wish they would escape and quit bothering me! Ugh!

Anyone else ever feel this way?

Just so many thoughts . . . I can't even focus on one!

A few dogs . . .

Okay, having multi-journals is going to take some getting used to, especially in the "remembering" department . . . and I still need to figure out what to do with them. I think this one is going to have any fandom writing I do - right now, that's just HP fandom stuff, but a few people are working on getting me into other fandoms.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything new to post - lots of thoughts going around in my head and I have prompts to work with . . . I just need to get motivated to write!

A bit of writing . . . .

This was something that was posted in my LJ a while back - those who migrate over from my f-list there may recognize it. Even now, I look at it and have no clue where, in my mind, this came from.

Hmmm . . . what am I going to do with 3 journals? Lots of writing, that's a given . . . but about what? I don't know . . . Ugh! I'm not good with decisions!
